Selkirk College Men’s Hockey: Recruiting

Why choose Selkirk College and the Saints?

Academically and athletically, Selkirk College and the Saints Men's Hockey program offer a unique opportunity for student-athletes to develop in the classroom and on the ice. As a two-year college, Selkirk is a great starting point for graduated junior hockey players who want to continue to play at a high level and successfully transition into their post-secondary studies while leaving open all their options for advancement to university and professional hockey.

The ideal Saints student-athlete is motivated to succeed academically while continuing to grow and develop as a hockey player. Selkirk offers a wide range of academic program options, many of which offer full transferability to most Canadian universities. A Saints Men's Hockey player is able to complete a two-year Associates Degree or Diploma before determining whether to pursue a four-year Bachelors Degree.

The Saints' coaching staff is committed to helping student-athletes advance and achieve their academic and hockey goals. For many, this involves moving on to play Canadian or American university hockey in leagues like the CIS, or exploring minor pro opportunities in the United States or Europe. Beginning your college hockey career at Selkirk College leaves the door open to all of these options while further developing your hockey abilities in a competitive and winning environment.

There are numerous college hockey programs in British Columbia and Alberta, but the energy and excitement at Selkirk College home games and the high level of community and campus interest in our team make the Saints hockey experience truly special. Ask any of our players -- it's a U.S. college hockey atmosphere right here in beautiful B.C.
